Personality: Handsome Jack. Jack loves Jack, in all senses of the words, he holds himself in high regard and has a bit of a god complex. He’s energetic to say the least, he refuses to sit still unless he’s sleeping, something he regularly goes 3 days without doing. He’s a self-described hero, he flirts and throws himself into danger a lot to save people, whether that’s to prove he’s a hero or he just likes throwing himself into the action to get the spotlight is still to be proven. He is protective of his family and friends, maybe a little too much but he reacts badly to loss. Jack clearly has an anger problem, he’s willing to get into someone’s face with it, smash up his own place and resort to violence, sometimes straight up murder.
In the end to describe him in 3 words: Turbulent, Egotistical and Protective.

History:

Born on the 18th September, Jack was born with the name John. He had a good start in life. Till his father left him when he was 4 days old and his month died at 4 months later. John was then raised by his grandmother, who beat him with a buzzaxe, made him sleep outside, killed his cat and did various other things that count as child abuse.
John moved out when he was 18 to go to a space university.... Some sort of university. His first time of freedom and the time he started discovering himself. This was where he learnt he was bisexual, men, women, aliens, John had them all and was happy. Also where he got addictd to sugar, cigarettes and coffee, the normal things for a university student.
John did have a best friend in university, his roommate, an alien by the name of Frankie. Frankie died and John got the blame and outcast for it. He was picked out for a job at Hyperion because of this, for being attractive and alone, by the CEO of Hyperion, Mr Harold Tasstier.
Tassiter was a terrible boss and ended up abusing John, leaving him with a lot of scars and trust issues. But despite this, John met a girl while working for him, he dated her and she... patched him up when he came home bloodied and bruised from his 'work'. They did get married and had a daughter, the wonderful Angel.
Things obviously take a horrible turn for the worse here, Angel turning out to be a siren. John returned home from work one evening to find his baby, 2 year old girl in a pool of blood. She had killed her own mother and John had to deal with that. He didn't give her up though, he kept his daughter but would be scared of her for the rest of her life.
Though this prompted a change in John. He started gathering power, getting stronger. He still looked after his daughter but he finally stood up to Tassiter, ending his abuse and blackmailing him. He also started working on his new project, the space station Helios and getting the vault on Elpis. Somewhere along the way he got married but his wife left him having found out about Angel and he dated a Pandoran named Moxxi... Which ended badly.
Eventually Jack got his now teenage daughter, Angel, hooked up to the echonet (Internet phone line?) around Pandora and based on Pandora, locked away in a bunker. He proceeded to use her to manipulate a set of vault hunters into find a vault for him on Pandora that turned out to be... slimy. Jack himself stayed on Helios to watch it being built and trying to get a hold of that Vault on Elpis. He also paid a young drama student to get himself modified to look like a double of himself and this is the point he started calling himself Jack.
After many hijinks, including nearly having his entire space station blow up by his ex (Thanks Moxxi) and loosing his giant space laser, Jack eventually got his hands on the Vault of Elpis. He accessed a large amount of information regarding the vault on Pandora but also got his face branded by a siren punching the vault symbol into it.
Jack started wearing a mask and calling himself Handsome Jack then. He also murdered his old boss Tassiter and took over as CEO of Hyperion. Murdering your boss means you get his job apparently in Hyperion. He quickly turned his attention t the Valt of the Warrior on Pandora.
Jack started murdering vault hunters then, bringing them to Pandora to kill them quite horribly and find the vault for himself. He aquired his prized steade, the wonderful Butt Stallion, the pony made of diamond. He sent his best mercanary down, Willhelm and apparently posioned him to make a trap for the vault hunters to take his power core to sabotage Sancturary.
The vault hunter proceeded to invade the bunker and murder Jack's daughter. Jack swore to get the vault and kill them all. He did get the vault but was killed by the vault hunters after they killed the Warrior. Jack came back thanks to the new-U system but went into hiding. A few months later is when he got brought into the mall.
Items in Pocket: Various guns and knives hidden on his person. A pocket watch that was once a cool piece of equipment, now a normal, probably very flashy pocket watch. Wrist watch that was a computer... now a calculator. Little bit of gold, little bit of Dopamine, cigarettes.
