"I still don't understand how you get a horse made of diamond." Nancy said with a shrug. This had to be Kilroy' s strangest simulation yet. At least she didn't seem to be the bad guy of this world. That was a plus. Living in a mall also was a plus. She'd have to figure out what the end goal of this one was.
"I guess it's like a hive. Probably more comfortable. I'm not a bee, so I don't know." She shoved her hands into her jeans' pockets. "I'll take the low road here. The city life didn't prep me for horses. Just cars. Traffic. New Yorkers and Bostoneans."
With that, she started to look for the mall directory. When she found it, she tapped the picture of the apartments and then headed towards them.

Nancy gave Rhythian a shrug. "I'm not a fan of how empty and quiet it is. When I hang out in the mall back at home, I usually bring a friend along with me. Someone I know and trust." This was partially because she tended to do reckless and dumb things and having a trusted friend around always was great anyway. She loved attention and loved socialization. "Also it freaks me out a bit to see a brand new mall empty like this and the fact that we are supposed to live here.. Wherever here even is."
For a moment, she looked around again. "What was your home like?" She let out a sigh. "Maybe we'll find some familiar faces sometime. My best friend, Nolan, would be telling us to have some faith and to be patient. What a dork."

Nancy gave Rythian a smile when he shook her hand. "My actual home is nowhere near as nice as this mall." For a moment, she looked up at the ceiling in silence. This was a really strange simulation if it was one. "The mall, place like this, in my home town is mostly shut down. It's inside us falling apart and smells weird, but I still spend time in there sometimes. That mall is my quiet place." She furrowed her brow as she started to look at the empty restaurants. "Even by mall standards, this place is weird."
After taking a deep breath, she shrugged. "Do they have malls where you are from? It seems like we are all from different places." She started to pace around a bit. "I haven't seen any of my friends. At all."

Hearing the announcement, Nancy looked up at the ceiling. "You have got to be fucking kidding me." she muttered. "Kilroy, I swear that when I find you, I'm going to turn you into scrap metal!" She started to pace around like a caged lion. These simulations were going to be the death of her. Probably literally too. What was the game in this one? Was she supposed to get killed by the other people? No. That would be a dumb plan. She believed that she could take them all on if she had to. Then again, she got into moods like that. Perhaps that was the plan. Although, the others seemed to be pretty calm people so far. First impressions were often wrong. She'd just have to keep on eye on the others.
Her green eyes moved to the diamond horse. "How did you even get a horse made of diamond?" One of her friends were rich, but he didn't even have an immobile diamond horse. Seeing a living thing made of stone seemed impossible. Then again, she's seen the impossible before. How else would you explain half of the things in the Video World. Kids growing out of cabbages and talking millipedes were only the tip of the iceberg. So, she kind of understood, but was still curious.
She then turned to Vigilante. "It's a small house. You live in it."

Taking a deep breath, Nancy tried to teleport into the storefront, hiding her special controller, but took a small shock instead. "That's.. Not supposed to happen." She took a few quick breaths and then banged her fists against the metal gate. However, breaking into the restaurant seemed to be hopeless. It was off to plan B. She needed to find a napkin or something and turn it into food.
When she turned around, she noticed Rythian. "These things are tighter than Fort Knox." she told him, shaking her head. "I'll get into it eventually. I just need the right tools." With a grin, she moved back over to the tables. She let out a laugh and sat on a table. "You know, I've slept in a mall a couple of times, but I never thought that I'd be living in one. The name's Nancy Adams." She held her glove-covered hand out to the man.

Revan Rythian Sitting on a table in the neon clad food court, Nancy stared at her apartment key. If this was one of Kilroy's simulations, it was very different from the others. Normally he didn't throw a mix of people into the mix like this. Also, he wouldn't throw her into a brand new mall like this. What sort of punishment would that be? Then again, she was alone. As far as she knew none of her friends were in the mall. She knew that if her boyfriend was there that he would have found her immediately. Being alone was something that she hated, but she wasn't really alone here. There were other people who seemed just as confused about the place as she was. Maybe she was wrong about her nemesis being to blame for this. She got down from the table and looked into one of the vacant restaurant storefronts. Even if this wasn't Kilroy, something was up with this place. She needed to find one of the other Video Soldiers or a way out of this mall. It wasn't even a fun mall. Sure, she had an arcade, but where were the other stores? Why was this place even open if there were only a handful of open stores? Also, where were all of the restaurants? Usually malls would at least have a Cosmic Burger or a PermaPizza. This mall didn't even have candy machines. Taking a deep breath, she started to try and figure out what code it would take to get behind the metal gate and start digging through the refrigerators and supplies. She was getting hungry for sure. If worst came to worse, she could always make her own food. That was one of the perks to having the powers to change objects into other objects.

When the robotic rabbit raised its hand, Nancy smiled. "Rad, rabbit. We'll have to try and talk later." While robots never did any good for her back at home, seeing that one kept trying to kill her, there was something about this one that she kind of liked. It looked almost like one of those robots that you'd see playing music at a shitty restaurant while some kid threw up in the side. However, there was more it to. It had a lot more character and seemed to act more as though it was actually alive rather than just a piece of machinery with a smile painted on its face.
Then Jack spoke of the Earth being blown up. Either he was a complete wackjob or he was from sometime in the distant future. ... Or both. Neither were really mutually exclusive. "I've spent a few days in an abandoned mall. This place doesn't really look abandoned." She moved over to the glistening and bubbling fountain and looked into the water. "The fountain is still on and filled with clean water. The ceiling is in great shape. The floors look like they've never been used. The lights are on. Everything looks spotless and new." She shook her head. "This mall looks more like it is waiting for the stores to finish setting up. This is just weird." Continuing to look into the water, she thought about what could be happening.
"This must be another simulation made by that damned Canadian robot. Something bad is going to happen." Her eyes widened a little as she spoke. The expression on her face screamed 'No, not again!'. This could not be a good thing. That robot was out to kill her.
"This is a shopping mall. I am a human."

"I'll figure out why we're here. It's probably to shop or something. This is a shopping mall." Nancy looked at the running fountain and tried to figure out where this mall probably had an information desk. They were typically in the center court among places, but she had yet to see one. It had to be somewhere nearby them.
Her green eyes moved back to Jack. What an egotistical asshole. "Earth is not boring. Also, it was 1985 the last time that I checked and even if it isn't now, this mall looks like the ones that I have seen." She folded her arms and started to actively look for the directory. "Besides. Does this look like home to anyone other than me?"

Nancy laughed. "Yeah, I have to agree that it's not that bad. I like malls anyway. The one in my neighborhood is mostly closed, so this is actually pretty nice." She started admiring the scenery again. This mall was beautiful. There were just two things that she didn't understand about it. Why was it so empty? This mall had to be new. The floors weren't even dirty, let alone scuffed by a lot of usage. You'd think that people would be moving into this mall in droves. They were very popular places. At least they were where she came from. Also, where were the people? Even the deadest malls had at least some people. Security officers should be roaming the hallways. People should be running stores. The emptiness was just strange.
She looked at Mettaton. "I don't know where Waterfall is, but this is a shopping mall." For a moment, she glanced around again. "Yeah. It needs stores and some nicer fake plants. More neon too. We can make it nicer later." She started to look at the group when the horse came onto the scene. This had to be the only mall to allow live horses. Then again, this one seemed to be made out of diamond or something. Mmmm. Expensive horse. A lot of people here did not appear to be from her home or even era. It was weird.
Realizing that she was probably one of very few people here with knowledge on what this place was, she started to grin. "This is a shopping mall. It's a place where people go to socialize and buy things. Usually they have a lot of stores, but this one seems to be brand new and doesn't look like the people who own it were good enough at starting these businesses to actually get tenants before opening." She pointed up at the neon lights on the ceiling. "Going off of the neon, it's still 1985 or somewhere around it. That was a newer touch that they started to put in these places. It's way nicer than just the boring regular lights. I'm not sure why they have food out here, but I'm going to guess that it's to celebrate something. Maybe the mall's first day open?"

Slowly coming to, Nancy opened her eyes to reveal what appeared to be the neon filled center court of a mall. Glancing around, she saw some stores. None of these stores were occupied, which was kind of odd. Usually malls were filled. After all, it was 1985. They were pretty popular places for teenagers to spend time and food courts were always a great place to snag a quick bite to eat while sight seeing inside of the mall itself. Oh, the sights in malls were wonderful. The handsome looking men and beautiful women. Not to mention the arcades and some of the things inside of the stores. Malls were certainly a paradise where and when she was from.
The question was "How did she get into a mall?". Back at home, they had one mall that she spent time near and that was Sunset View Mall. Now, Sunset View Mall became mostly an outdoor strip mall due to a lack of business. It wasn't in the best part of Hartford. Nor was it in the richest part. While there was one store that was inside the mall, it was only on the other side of main entrance and had the rest of the mall walled off with the usual dead mall hoardings. This was definitely not Sunset View Mall.
A puzzled look grew on her face as she continued to try to figure out what she did to get into a strange mall. She didn't teleport here when she was being Hartford's superhero, Lady Coleco, as she wasn't in uniform. Her green eyes fixed on the other people who were in the room. None of them seemed to know where they were either. Shaking her head, she moved over to them. "This is a mall, guys. A really lame mall. It looks nice though." She laughed. "It'll never get much business with no open store fronts. Not even if they are actually kidnapping us. It's a really weird business tactic anyway. That's why very, very few people even try it." Her eyes moved back up to the neon lights and then back to the group. "I'm Nancy. Nancy Adams: Arcade champion and master pianist."

Character Name: Nancy Janice Adams Fandom/ Original Character: OC [The Arcade Experience; An original comic]
Nickname(s)/ Alias: Nance, Lady Coleco Birthday: August 23, 1962
Age: 23 Gender: Female Species: Human
Canonical Job: Arcade Attendant, Pianist/singer, Superhero/Police Officer Personality: Having been psychologically attacked by her mother when she was younger, Nancy has some pretty bad confidence problems. These tend to be hidden under her large ego. Her confidence problems, coupled with things various people kept telling her, tend to make her think that she will never amount to anything and that she will never be able to do anything to actually help people. It was because of this that Nancy decided, not too long after she was given her powers, that she wanted to become a hero and help others.
Unless Nancy doesn’t like the person in question, she’ll risk life and limb in order to keep a person safe. Even though her job as a Video Soldier only applies in the Video World, she feels that it is her job to keep people safe. Being left alone is something that Nancy absolutely hates. She has an irrational fear that she is going to be completely isolated from the world around her and that even the people she considers to be friends will abandon her.
One of Nancy’s more annoying traits is that she constantly wants to know what is happening around her. It doesn’t matter if it is any of her business or not, she’ll want to know about it. Keeping information from her will, without a doubt, annoy her. If the information that was kept from her was something that is important to her, such as a friend being in the hospital or Coleco coming out with a new game, then she will become very angry and can end up being a bit cross with whoever kept the information from her.
If Nancy decides that she doesn’t like someone, she’ll be incredibly leery around them. There will be times when she can be a complete asshole to them, even when they don’t necessarily deserve it. She can be like an angry hornet and not quit attacking people that she doesn’t like, either verbally, through threats, or physically. The more unfortunate part of being on her “shit list”, so to speak, is the fact that it is incredibly hard to get off of. Even if she doesn't hate someone, she is incredibly easy to get mad.
In order to get back on Nancy’s good side one would have to do plenty of things that would make her life or the lives of the people she cares about better and they would have to do them in front of her.
Another one of her more annoying traits is her sheer stubbornness. Once she decides that she wants to do something it can be rather difficult to get her to stop. Just telling her to not do something will not work unless a few people she likes gang up on her and that doesn’t always work. The best way to get her to not do something is to make her physically unable to do the action [ie. Tie her up, among things].
As for getting her to see that she’s wrong about something, either get other people she likes to agree with you and have them tell her as well or just let her figure out she was wrong on her own.
Nancy constantly hungers for attention. Getting ignored or having her spotlight be taken from her are things that she doesn’t like. Attention is something that she’ll do practically anything in order to receive, as long as it wouldn’t go against her moral code to get. Being ignored tends to make her very upset and usually leads to her doing something that will get her or others in trouble.
Powers: All of Nancy's powers come from technology. Without her tools, she's just a regular person from 1985.
Her lightest weapon, power wise, to use would be her modified Coleco Telstar Arcade light revolver. While it originally was just a realistic looking toy gun, but it was modified to shoot bullets made of energy.
Her better weapon would be her specially modified ColecoVision controller, which allows her to teleport and change any object into any other object.
The biggest downfall of both of these weapons is that they use her own energy in order to operate. If she uses her weapons, especially the controller, too much it can result in her becoming very ill or even dead. For instance, while she can make anything with her controller, if she made a whole building with it, she would get I'll. Also, if she used her powers to do something drastic, like create a living being or change a living being, she would get deathly ill.
Another issue with her controller is how it works. It uses a series of codes for the different things that it can do and Nancy does not have many of the codes memorized or written down, so it is easy for her to mess up when making something new.
Weaknesses: - Her impulsivity tends to get the better of her. A lot.
- There is very little filter on what she says. If it pops into her mind, she will probably say it unless it's pertaining to her painful past.
- She has an addiction to video games and a bad allergy to cats.
- Her moodiness and restlessness can cause her problems.
- People can find her egotistical nature to be grating.
- She'd give her own life in order to save the lives of others.
Strengths: - She will protect anyone who she feels needs it.
- Fighting is something that she is pretty good at. She's had a lot of experience.
- While she doesn't have all of the codes for her controller memorized, the ones that she does help her quite a bit. She tends to fight with an iron or steel rod.
- Usually, she's actually pretty nice to her friends.
- She's a pretty brave and usually isn't afraid to enter a dangerous situation.
- Singing, gaming, and playing piano are things that she excels at.
History: Nancy was born in 1962 as Nancy Baehr. She would often tell her that she was a terrible child, that no one wanted her around and they never would, and that she’d never amount to anything. There also were plenty of times where she would either hurt Nancy or straight up neglect her. The thing with Gwen is that she doesn’t show this side of herself in public. To everyone on the outside, she’s a great mother and a nice, yet average, person.
When Nancy was twelve years-old, her father disappeared from his workplace and was presumed to be dead. In Nancy’s mind this had to have been caused by her mother, since Gwen and Magnus had a falling out not too long before his disappearance. It wasn’t long before she approached her mother and asked about her missing father. This only resulted in her getting beaten until she managed to get away from her mother.
She was found in an alley and taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan. While she had some bad cuts and bruises, she was alright and was sent back home once she was better.
When she was 16, she dropped out of school and her step father, who she began to love, helped her run away by quietly getting her an apartment in the slums, known as Sunset View. Here, she made friends, got a job as an arcade attendant, and started a band.
At age 22, she beat the high score in a game called 'Video Soldier', which turned out to be a secret recruiting tool for a group of people known as the Video Army, who defend a place that they call the Video World [Natives actually call the planet Arcadia.]. This is where Lady Coleco was born. It was Nancy's alias for both protecting the Video World and Hartford. She quickly became a beloved superhero for Sunset View.
Items in Pocket: Wallet, Coleco Electronic Quarterback, Her special Colecovision controller Item Taken From Home: Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 with its amp.
